Cross-Border Collaboration for Sustainability: Showcasing SALIENT and EU-Funded Innovations at the EU-Egypt Workshop

The BUE/EU Joint Workshop will take place from 30 June to 2 July 2025 at Science & Innovation Park, The British University in Egypt, Cairo, Egypt.

The University of Northumbria, Scientific Coordinator of the SALIENT Project, is organising an interactive workshop titled "EU-Egypt Workshop on Sustainable Multifunctional Materials and Structures: Innovations Across Automotive, Aerospace, Energy, and Water Sectors”.

The workshop "will take place over three days, from 30 June to 2 July 2025 and is hosted by the British University in Egypt (BUE), Cairo. The main aim of the workshop is to showcase cutting-edge developments in sustainability and multifunctionality across key industrial domains.

The event will highlight major advancements from three EU-funded projects: SALIENT, GIANCE, and BIOntier, focusing on circular design, sustainable materials, and technological innovation across the automotive, aerospace, energy, and water sectors.

Prof. Ahmed Elmarakbi (Northumbria University, UK) and Prof. Yehia Bahie-El-Din (BUE, Egypt) will lead the workshop, which includes technical presentations, hands-on training sessions, interactive discussions, and networking activities.

The workshop is open to researchers, industry professionals, and students.
